New amendments to the labor code introduce the following changes beginning 1 May 2018: 

  • Increase of additional pay for work on public holidays (from 50 percent to 100 percent of average employee’s earnings), at night (from 20 percent to 40 percent of minimal hourly wage).
  • Introduction of additional pay for work on weekends: Up to 50 percent of minimal hourly wage for Saturdays and 100 percent on Sundays.
